The GHG Platform is a European, B2B enterprise solution designed to help organizations measure, manage, and report greenhouse gas emissions. The platform supports ESG compliance, carbon accounting, and climate data management, enhanced by AI to improve accuracy and save time for expert users.
The focus was on creating an intuitive, transparent system where no decisions were hidden, and all data could be traced and validated.
The goal
The goal was to kickstart the project with a working, flexible prototype that could demonstrate the platform’s potential to future investors.
The design needed to communicate trust, scalability, and product maturity while supporting complex workflows for expert users who rely on speed, accuracy, and full traceability.
The prototype was also used to align stakeholders across product, development, and commercial teams.
The process
We built a full design system in Figma using components, design tokens, and structured UI patterns.
A functional prototype was developed using Microsoft Cloud solutions to simulate real product flows.
The project was highly collaborative, involving:
- Frontend and backend developers
- Architects
- Marketing teams
- Investors and key stakeholders
The design system was used across:
- Product development
- Investor presentations
- Marketing
- Brand and UX testing
Our core team ranged from 8–16 people until handover.
The outcome
The prototype successfully supported investor communication and demonstrated the platform’s technical and commercial potential.
This contributed to securing the investment that enabled the company to scale into a fully staffed organization.
The design system helped reduce friction between design, development, and decision-making by creating a shared visual and functional reference point for the entire team.
My role
I was the Creative Director and the primary UX and Digital Designer for the initial design of the GHG Platform.
Approximately 75% of my time was spent on product ownership — from UX strategy and system design to handover with the development team.
I led the early product direction, ensured design quality, and aligned stakeholders across design, development, and business throughout the first year of the project.
